The General Association of Hits-Unitel "Y" arranged a meeting on last Monday 21st of April 2008 to discuss the agenda that was presented by the administration of the company and decided to increase the capital by 60 million dollars by issuing 6 million new shares; each share will be worth  10 dollars. By this, the capital of the company will be 250 million USD. The subscribing of these shares will end at 1:00 pm on 13th of May 2008.

The increase will be invested on finishing the work plan. This work plan includes the expansion of "Y" network through the coming months to provide better coverage. Furthermore, new services will be launched. The coverage plan does not only  include expanding  the network and opening new areas, it also consists of providing better coverage in the current areas which will cover more than 80% of the total Yemeni populated  areas.

The offer, "One Riyal Equals One Minute", will continue in its success which attracted a lot of interested people that all "Y"s POSs have witnessed and increased the number of subscribers, especially, the Pre-paid subscribers. What is worth mentioning is that the company is following a marketing plan that consists of interesting offers in the coming (next) period.
